  2. Prambanan Temples, Yogyakarta (Indonesia) – Travel Guide

    by Rizky

Take a tour of Prambanan Temples in Yogyakarta, Indonesia — part of the World’s Greatest Attractions travel video series by GeoBeats. The large, carved stone towers of the Prambanan Temples look like miniature mountains dotting the landscape. These old Hindu holy places can be found in the countryside outside of Yogykarta city in Indonesia. The sides of these temples are carved with images of the epic legends of heroes and gods. This large compound was built in the ninth century, although it was abandoned not long after this. The countryside surrounding the Prambanan Temples is lush, green and very scenic as a backdrop for the tall buildings. The temple is dedicated to the three aspects of the Hindu god, Brahma, Shiva, and Vishnu.

  5. Borobudur, Yogyakarta & Surabaya vs. Superman Is Dead & Borgolkill

    by Rizky

I took a 6 day trip during Idul Fitri 2008 from Bali i flew to Yogyakarta caught a bus to Borobudur, stayed in the grounds of the temple at the Manohara Hotel and rode a pushie around town. Then i went back to Yogyakarta had a wow of a time (including a performance of the Ramyana at the Prambanan Temple) and then flew to Surabaya before returning to Bali. I have coupled this with a soundtrack of pure Indonesian punk, crust punk & metalcore with Citra OD by Superman Is Dead (Bali’s first and foremost) taking us through ‘Jogja’ and Penindasan by Borgolkill (from Pasuruan, East Java) to guide you through Surabaya, Funnily enough also in East Java…..

  6. Arnel Pineda and Journey – Don’t stop believing live inChile

    January 19, 2012 by Rizky

Arnel Pineda and Journey’s first concert of 2008 in Chile. SONG: Dont’ stop believing Just a small town girl Living in a lonely world She took the midnight train going anywhere Just a city boy Born and raised in South Detroit He took the midnight train going anywhere A singer in a smoky room A smell of wine and cheap perfume For a smile they can share the night It goes on and on and on and on {Refrain} Strangers, waiting, up and down the boulevard Their shadows searching in the night Streetlight people, living just to find emotion Hiding somewhere in the night Working hard to get my fill Everybody wants a thrill Paying anything to roll the dice Just one more time Some will win, some will lose Some were born to sing the blues Oh the movie never ends It goes on and on and on and on {Refrain} Don’t stop believing Hold on to that feeling Streetlight people

    January 17, 2012 by Rizky

On the bus trip to Ubud I met Lucie and Stephanie, two French girls backpacking around Bali for 2 weeks. Stephanie worked in Jakarta and had a strong grasp of the Indonesian language. They seemed to know a lot about Bali, so I decided to let them host the Ubud video. Lucie takes on shopping and Stephanie discusses cuisine.
