It’s a gift folks. You can improve intonation and technique. You can learn how to conserve your air and project your voice. But this is a born vocalist. He could sing me The Constitution and I would still shake my head in disbelief of his pure, sweet tone.

    @TorsiSimon To each his own

  12. TorsiSimon says:

@NoSteveNoPoint wow that’s impressive!!! he’s got a fabulous voice indeed but i still prefer Freddie’s style and voice

  13. NoSteveNoPoint says:

@TorsiSimon And Perry had a 5 octave range.

  14. TorsiSimon says:

@NoSteveNoPoint well voice is not really my area, i’m more of guitars, but i know that Freddie Mercury and a range of 4 octaves and I also know that that’s a lot

  15. NoSteveNoPoint says:

@TorsiSimon But PITCH, RANGE, and vibrato are NOT opinions.

  16. TorsiSimon says:

@NoSteveNoPoint opinions are not correct. opinions are different but equally valid

  17. NoSteveNoPoint says:

@TorsiSimon Yes but as a singer and vocal instructor myself, my opinion is correct.

  18. TorsiSimon says:

@NoSteveNoPoint i disagree, for me Freddie was the best ever and no one betas him. But an opinion is an opinion

  19. NoSteveNoPoint says:

@TorsiSimon I didn’t say Perry was a better ENTERTAINER, I’m only talking about
THE VOICE. Freddie didn’t have this range.

  20. iplaysmart says:

It all started with the great Sam Cooke, the biggest influence and inspiration of Steve Perry. It just gives me goosebumps every time I listen to SC and SP. Listen to Sam Cooke’s “Cupid”

  21. TorsiSimon says:

@NoSteveNoPoint c’mon buddy, d’u really think so? freddie would’nt only sing this song as perfectly as steve did but he would also entertain the public and call its attention like anybody. he is one of the greatest artists ever, his presence on the stage was amazing!! but steve perry as an excelent voice, otherwise he wouldn’t be 3rd in my top 40.

  22. EagleTwentyOhNine says:

    5:11. Amazing…

  23. iplaysmart says:

The Voice! Goodness gracious. Steve Perry always sounded as if his voice is lighter than air!

  24. NoSteveNoPoint says:

@TorsiSimon Freddie and Robert couldn’t sing this song in this key in a Million years! WISE UP!
